Statewide Beef School is back in 2018
Ohio State University’s Statewide Beef School will return in February 2018. The format this year will be similar to the teaching styles of previous years, but improved!
The title of the 2018 school is “Gaining Greater Market Access for Ohio Feeder Calves.” The school will consist of two presentations that will be pre-recorded and available for viewing through Ohio State University County Extension Offices.
The primary topics covered in these presentations will include health preconditioning programs and other management strategies to prepare feeder calves for marketing, current marketing options, and requirements necessary to qualify for specialty and targeted markets.
Each presentation will be 30-45 minutes in length. Questions and comments for the presenters will be gathered at the end of the program and filtered through the county educators to the presenters for follow-up information.
Noble County OSU Extension will offer the Statewide Beef School as follows:
Each presentation will be offered with two viewing options. A lunch or dinner meal will prelude the presentation, courtesy of our sponsors. Afterwards there will be opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion with your peers.
