Nancy Snook is retiring as Noble County 4-H agent and educator after 23 years of service. Her final day will be December 31, 2025.

A native of Noble County, Snook grew up on her family farm near Hoskinsville and was active in 4-H throughout her childhood. She graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1985, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Ohio State University in 1989, and a Master’s in Agricultural Education in 1996.

Snook began her professional career as a 4-H agent in Ross County in 1990 and later worked in McCracken County, Kentucky, before returning to Noble County in 2002. During her tenure, she helped local youth pursue passions that led to careers, guided students to state awards and national 4-H recognition, and contributed to improvements at the fairgrounds, including a new swine barn, rabbit and poultry building, and horse arena.

Snook also played a role in getting Gladys Saling and Joy Feldner inducted into the Ohio 4-H Hall of Fame and significantly increased participation in the 4-H camping program.

She and her husband plan to continue living and farming near Hoskinsville. They have two grown children.
