National Forage Week runs from June 21-27, 2020. It is a great opportunity to recognize the importance of forages in the daily lives of Americans and say thank you to our forage producers across the nation.

The complexity of forage management requires producers to have vast knowledge of plant and animal sciences. It is more complicated than just growing and mowing grass. To be a successful forage grower you must have knowledge about soil health, botany, nutrition, zoology, climatology, machinery, and finances too.

With much of the Noble County land base dedicated to forages, we should take pride in celebrating our forage crops and tell the world about what we do to keep the land and our livestock healthy. You can share information about your forage system as part of the celebration on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok etc.) this week using the # messages: #NationalForageWeek and #ForageStory
