After almost a year of anticipation, Noble County OSU Extension hosted our first calving clinic featuring Belle the simulator cow and Charlie the simulator calf at the Eastern Agricultural Research Station on October 28. Twenty-five local cattle producers attended the evening event to learn hands-on about common calving difficulties, solutions and tools, animal handling, calving aid, and the significance of having good handling facilities on farm.

The Noble County Board of Commissioners with the Noble County Water Authority (NCWA) hosted a kick-off event Sept. 27 for the East of I-77 Water Expansion project. The new service will expand water to 126 homes from Sarahsville to Pleasant City as well as provide an emergency interconnect to the Village of Byesville Water system.

The Ohio State University Extension recently announced the promotion of two Noble County Educators, Christine Gelley to Educator III and Gwynn Stewart to Educator IV. Along with other Extension Educators across the state, the Noble duo earned a promotion in rank effective Sept. 1. Each of these individuals either met or exceeded the criteria for promotion.
